csscss by zmoazeni

csscss is a Ruby gem (1.9+) that parses CSS and reports which rulesets share duplicated declarations, on the premise that cutting duplication is one of the best ways to keep stylesheets maintainable and that nobody can hold every ruleset in their head. It runs from the command line on local files or URLs, has a verbose mode and a minimum-match threshold, and also handles Sass/SCSS (with an experimental flag to ignore mixin-generated matches) and LESS. It deliberately reports duplicates rather than removing them automatically, and there are Compass, Grunt and Gulp integrations plus contribution and bug-report instructions.

Polychart.JS

A broad business-oriented overview of the CBD industry: product categories (oils, edibles, topicals, capsules, beverages), the drivers of growth (legalization, consumer demand for natural products, innovation), and the main obstacles (regulatory uncertainty, competition from pharmaceuticals, weak standardization and quality control). It names a few brands as key players, such as Quiet Monk CBD and Morse Mountain, and cites a market estimate of about $2.8 billion in 2021 rising to $13.4 billion by 2028. The tone is promotional and generic, with little sourcing behind its claims about health benefits, so it's more useful as a market snapshot and a list of talking points than as rigorous analysis.

Almost Flat UI

This is not an article but a Foundation CSS style-guide template page, showing placeholder examples of heading levels h1 through h6, paragraph text, links, bulleted, ordered and definition lists, a blockquote (an Asimov line about fearing the lack of computers), and a microformat v-card for a fictional Gaius Baltar. Its only real content is filler text, including a stray fact about Jupiter's storms being larger than Earth. It is worth keeping only as a reference for how that framework's typography and basic components are formatted, not for any argument or reporting.

Feedspot - Social Feed Reader

This is a FeedSpot page, not a single article. It pitches the site's curated creator lists to marketers and PR people looking for collaborators, and promises featured creators more trust, visibility and traffic. Below the pitch sits a feed of list teasers: ten vegan chefs posting daily recipes, Bible teachers who explain Greek and Hebrew context, side-hustle creators with low-investment ideas (framed around the roughly 40% of Americans running side hustles), and sports nutrition creators who explain macros. There is no sustained argument, so it's only worth keeping as a pointer to FeedSpot's creator-directory lists in those niches.

Tools, tips and links on optimizing mySQL | drupal.org

A practical guide to tuning MySQL for Drupal sites, mixing high-level advice (use InnoDB for write-heavy tables like node, the Archive engine for insert-only logs like accesslog, avoid RAID-5, switch the IO scheduler, find slow queries with the slow log, run OPTIMIZE TABLE on a cron) with a hands-on walkthrough. The walkthrough runs tuning-primer.sh or MySQLTuner to get recommendations, pastes in sample my.cnf settings for 256MB and 500MB servers, restarts, and rechecks after 24-48 hours. It carries notes on what has gone out of date, such as the query cache removed in MySQL 8.0 and persistent connections deprecated in PHP 5.5, and points to Percona Toolkit, Releem and other resources for deeper tuning.

What's The Point Of Promises?

Asks what the "point" of JavaScript promises really is, working through the answers readers offered in comments on his earlier post. He argues that flattening the callback pyramid is not the point, since named callbacks do that too but leave handlers coupled and unreusable. Parallel helpers like jQuery's `when` are useful but not in the Promises/A spec either. His conclusion is that a promise represents the eventual value of an operation, which lets async code be written like synchronous code, with errors propagating as failures (a spot where jQuery's implementation falls short). He also covers passing promises as function arguments and hiding them inside fluent APIs.

Sidr - A jQuery plugin for creating side menus

This is the documentation page for Sidr, a jQuery plugin (v2.2.1) that adds slide-in side menus on the left, right, or both sides of a page. It's aimed mainly at turning existing nav, search, or social markup into a mobile menu via media queries. It uses CSS3 transitions, with a `$.animate` fallback for older browsers. The page covers setup (CDN, bower/npm, a dark or light theme stylesheet) and four ways to fill a menu: inline div content, existing selectors, a remote URL, or a callback function. It also covers opening and closing programmatically, such as wiring up swipe gestures with an external touch library, and it ends with a full options reference (`name`, `side`, `source`, `displace`, `timing`, `bind`, and the `onOpen`/`onClose` callbacks) plus the `$.sidr()` controller for open, close, toggle, and status.

What to tune in MySQL Server after installation - MySQL Performance Blog

Percona's announcement that Percona Server for MySQL 9.7.2-2 adds a DISTANCE() function, which scores vector similarity directly in SQL and supports COSINE, EUCLIDEAN, MANHATTAN, and DOT metrics, alongside a related VECTOR_DISTANCE() function. Only the opening teaser survived in the saved copy, so details on syntax, performance, or how it compares with other MySQL vector options aren't available. It's worth keeping as the Percona-specific reference for built-in vector search in the 9.7 line.

Feedbin

This is the Feedbin homepage, pitching a paid RSS reader ($7 a month or $70 a year after a 30-day free trial) that pulls feeds, email newsletters, podcasts, and YouTube channels into one chronological, algorithm-free place. It lists the features that set it apart: full-text extraction for partial feeds, customizable themes and Hoefler & Co. typography, automatic actions like starring or notifying, saved searches, tracked article updates with visible diffs, and syncing with iOS, Mac, and Android apps. Each pro account also gets a unique email address for newsletters, and the companion Airshow app handles podcast listening.

jQuery Boilerplate

database - Binary log error in mysql - Stack Overflow

A Q&A thread on fixing MySQL's "ERROR 1381: You are not using binary logging" when running SHOW BINARY LOGS. The fix is to add `log-bin=mysql-bin` under `[mysqld]` in my.cnf (or my.ini) and restart the server. Optional companions are `expire_logs_days`, `server-id` and `sync_binlog`. Answers add practical details: the line must sit above the `[mysqld_safe]` section, logs land in the datadir unless a path is given, and one user found mysqld ignored a symlinked my.cnf (made for master/slave switching) until they used a hard link instead.
